We still use our old metal Standard sign in parades. 
Leach Service was started as a Standard Oil station in 1949 by Tom Leach. In 1978, Tom sold the business to his son, Bob, who began working there in 1956. Bob ran the business until his death. Bob's wife, Judy, joined the company in 1988 and continues ownership assisted by Bob's daughter, Kellie Schwenck who joined the firm in 1992.
Our goal is to provide outstanding service to the motoring public through integrity and old-fashioned craftsmanship combined with today's latest technologies. With these core values, passed down from our company's founders, we will continue to provide the service our customers have come to rely on since our opening in 1949.
Much of our location's success is due to our large full-facility operation and landmark reputation. "Just take it (your car) to Leach's" is the word-of-mouth advertising that we value most and strive to maintain. The disappearance of the independent garage has made our operation as unique as our building.
Leach Service is not a highway operation that depends on largely one-time travelers, but rather it is a hometown institution that welcomes the first timer as well as our loyal repeat customers (many who are proud to tell each new employee that they have been coming to Leach's for over 50 years.)
Our market has changed over the years. In 1949 all gasoline was full service, pumped by smiling attendants with hats and ties as part of their uniforms. Now our customer base is old, young or in-between, male or female, driving a Chevy to a Rolls, and each is still looking for an honest and fair deal on repairs, towing, tires, gasoline, diesel, propane, kerosene, ice, snacks, directions or just a CLEAN restroom. WE STILL HAVE A FULL SERVICE ISLAND where our friendly attendants pump your gas, clean your windows, and check your tires and under the hood.
Our ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certified technicians take pride in their work and in continuing the reputation for quality of Leach Service, employing the latest automotive technology and they are equipped to handle most major and minor repairs on foreign or domestic vehicles. We are an AC Delco TSS Program Dealer as well as a certified Napa AutoCare Center and, as such, are able to provide the benefits of an established national entity while maintaining the personal touch of a family owned business. We understand that your vehicle is a major investment, and that is why we care for each customer’s vehicle as if it were our own.
